Initially engaged by SMG, Profound helped to triple Virgin’s earnings from the sector within two years. When the Times of India Group bought Virgin Radio in 2008, creating Absolute Radio, Profound were retained to assist with the management of all concert and event activity. We continue to work across the station’s live music strategy including their successful associations with events such as Hard Rock Calling and The Isle of Wight Festival.

    We were engaged by International Talent Booking to assist the promotion of the 2006 Madness tour. The band were playing their first live shows in four years, and working without a record label or management. Profound worked closely with the band and ITB to successfully promote nine Arena shows, securing a vast amount of coverage across all media in the process.

    Evolution Festival

    The Evolution Festival is held in Newcastle at the end of May. Featuring a wealth of fringe and educational events the festival concludes with a huge outdoor music festival with two stages on the banks of the Tyne. Profound were employed to raise the profile of the event and create national interest. We secured a range of coverage including two pieces in The Guardian and footage of the concerts was shown on BBC national news.

    Live Nation

    In 2006 Profound brokered a deal between Live Nation, one of the World's biggest concert promoters and Virgin/EMI Records. As part of the deal the first ever 'Monsters Of Rock' CD was released in November. The triple CD has since gone on to sell over 200,000 copies. We have also been involved in assisting their PR department with various projects including Bon Jovi at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
